1. About us
This website, soapx.co.uk, is operated by SoapX Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, with its business address at 182-184 High Street North, Office 21445, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom ("SoapX", "we", "us" or "our"). You can contact us at hello@soapx.co.uk.
These terms apply to your use of our website and to any order you place with us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them, so please read them carefully. Our online store is hosted on Shopify.
2. Using our website
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its security or operation, or to upload anything harmful or offensive. We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time.
3. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Please tell us straight away if you think your account has been used without your permission.
4. Our products
We make every effort to describe and display our products accurately. Packaging and labels may change from time to time, and screen settings may affect how colours appear.
Our products are automotive cleaning and care solutions and must be used only as directed on the label. Before use, please:
• Read the full label and any safety information supplied with the product
• Test on a small, hidden area first, especially on paintwork, trim, wheels, glass coatings or upholstery
• Avoid use on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight unless the label says otherwise
• Wear suitable protection such as gloves or eye protection where advised
• Keep products out of reach of children and pets, and store them in their original containers
We are not responsible for damage caused by using a product in a way that is not in line with its label or instructions, on an unsuitable surface, or by mixing it with other chemicals. Safety data sheets are available on request by emailing shopify@soapx.co.uk.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout. We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted. If we discover a pricing error on an order, we will contact you before dispatch and you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Payment is taken when you place your order. Payments are processed securely and we do not store your full card details.
6. Orders
When you place an order you will receive an email acknowledging it. This does not mean your order has been accepted. A contract between you and us is formed when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. We may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock or we cannot deliver to your address, and we will refund you in full if we do.
7. Delivery
Delivery options, charges and estimated times are set out in our Shipping Policy. Ownership of and responsibility for the goods pass to you once they are delivered to the address you gave us.
8. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Your rights to cancel an order and return items are set out in our Return and Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
9. Our liability to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. If you buy from us as a business, such as a valeting or detailing company, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption, and our total liability to you will not exceed the price of the products you bought.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.
10. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption, severe weather or supplier problems. If this happens we will let you know and do what we can to minimise the effect.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, designs and product names, belongs to SoapX Ltd or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to websites run by third parties. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
13. Your personal information
We use your personal information only as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force at the time you place an order will apply to that order.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation.
