SoapX was started by two enthusiasts, and our products belong where the scene is: on track days, at car meets, in club paddocks and on the drives of people who wash properly. Sponsorship is how the Two Bucket Gang backs the UK scene, and how we learn from the people who use our products hardest.
Nobody signs up to the Gang. You are in the moment you wash with two buckets. A sponsorship is the same idea with a handshake. We back you, and you show people how it is done.
How we do things
The Gang runs on six rules. Partners carry them further than anyone, so this is what each one means for you.
| The rule | What it means for a partner |
|---|---|
| Two buckets. Always. | You wash the way we preach. One bucket to wash and one to rinse, on camera and off it. |
| Foam first. Touch last. | Show the order. People copy what they see you do. |
| A dropped mitt is a dead mitt. | No shortcuts for the shot. If it would scratch your paint, it does not go in the video. |
| Know your ratio. | Use our products as the label says. Tell people the dilution you used, and never claim more than the label does. |
| Sunday is Service. | Wash day is the ritual. It is also the easiest post you will ever make. |
| Respect every build. Clean or crime scene. | We back show cars, daily drivers and muddy bikes alike. Nobody gets mocked for what they drive or how dirty it is. |
Three more things to know about us.
- We make small numbered batches. Every batch is on the Batch Log. Partner product comes out of those batches, so top ups follow the drops.
- We have enemies. Gary and Ken. They are both on the Enemies List and they are fair game for jokes. Nobody harms a bird.
- We are honest. We never ask for scripted praise. If something does not work for you, tell us first and tell us straight.
Why we sponsor
- To back grassroots motoring. Small teams, local clubs and community events are where the scene lives, and they rarely get support.
- To test our products properly. A drift car, a winter commuter and a muddy mountain bike tell us more than any lab sheet.
- To get honest feedback. What our partners tell us shapes what goes into the next batch.
Who we sponsor
- Drivers and riders. Grassroots track day, drift, race, rally and motorcycle riders.
- Car clubs and meets. Clubs, car meets, shows and track day organisers. We donate prizes for events too.
- Content creators. Detailers and owners who share their wash days, builds and results.
- Charity and community. Charity runs, fundraisers and local events.
Sponsorship spots are open now. Partners are shown on our homepage as they join.
What we look for
- Based in the United Kingdom, as we deliver within the UK only.
- Aged 18 or over. Younger drivers and riders are welcome to apply with a parent or guardian, who makes the agreement with us.
- Genuinely active, whether that is events, meets, builds or content. A small, engaged following matters more to us than a big number.
- Someone who looks after their car, bike or event and represents the scene well.
- Someone who washes properly. If you are still on one bucket and a sponge, we may need a word first.
What partners receive
A SoapX sponsorship is normally made up of products and benefits, not money. These are the things on offer:
- Free product. Sample size products every month, sent pro forma during your trial and pro rata after it. How rewards are sent.
- A personal discount. A code for your own orders.
- Paddock clothing and stickers. Stickers for your car, bike or event, with the Two Bucket Gang sticker in there. Any partner can also ask for free clothing from our Paddock range, and we send it when we are happy with the progress you have made.
- A code for your followers. A discount code to share, so your community saves too.
- A place on our site. Your logo or name in the sponsor bar on our homepage, linked to your website or social page.
- Prizes for your event. Clothing and products donated as prizes for first, second and third place. How prizes work.
What you get for what you do
The more you show SoapX, the more we send. Every partner starts with the link and the stickers. After that you pick the rhythm that suits you, and your rewards follow it.
| Level | What you do | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Every partner | A link to soapx.co.uk from everywhere you are online, and our stickers where they can be seen. If you go to meets, our rating cards too. | Stickers for your car, bike or stand, the Two Bucket Gang one included. Rating cards for the meets you go to. Your name or logo in the sponsor bar on our homepage, linked back to you. |
| Monthly | Around one tagged post a month. | One sample size product a month. |
| Twice a month | Around two tagged posts a month. | Two sample size products a month, a personal discount code for your own orders and a code for your followers. |
| Weekly | Around one tagged post a week. Sunday Service does most of the work. | Three sample size products a month and both codes. Paddock clothing once your trial is done, and first in line for a full 12 month season. |
| Events | SoapX named as a prize sponsor on the event page, with a link, and a post from the day. | Prizes for first, second and third place, with Paddock clothing for the winner, and stickers for the stand. |
Paddock clothing is open to every level. You do not need to be a weekly partner. Ask us, and if we are happy with the progress you have made, we send it free.
How rewards are sent. Two terms do the work here: pro forma and pro rata.
- During your trial: pro forma. Pro forma means in advance. For your 3 month trial we send each month's products first and you post after, so you get to wash with them before you say a word. If a month's posts do not follow, the next parcel waits until they do.
- After a successful trial: pro rata. Pro rata means in proportion. At the end of each month you send us the links to your posts, we confirm them, and that month's products go out to match. Make all your posts and you get all your products. Make half and you get half, rounded up.
Partner products are our sample sizes: 250ml or 100ml, depending on the product. Tell us what you are running low on and we send it from the batch in stock.
These are rhythms, not rotas. Life happens, and a late post is still a post. It counts in the month it goes up.
Most partners start with a 3 month trial, and we look at your level together at the end of it. The exact package is confirmed by email before the sponsorship starts.
Prizes for your event
Running a meet, a show, a track day or a fundraiser? We are happy to donate the prizes. Tell us what you are handing out and we send the prizes, with stickers for the stand.
- First place. A piece of Paddock clothing and a 250ml product.
- Second and third place. Sample size products and stickers.
Any class works: best in show, fastest lap, or the filthiest car on the field. Respect every build. Clean or crime scene.
In return we ask for SoapX to be named as a prize sponsor on the event page, with a link to soapx.co.uk, and a post from the day. A photo of the winners with their prizes is the best one there is. Prizes are sent pro forma, ahead of the day, so give us as much notice as you can. They come out of our numbered batches.
You will also find us in the SoapX Discord, where the Gang talks between wash days. It is open to anyone aged 16 or over, partner or not.
Financial sponsorship. We offer money only in exceptional circumstances, usually to help a charity or good cause. Requests are decided case by case.
What we ask in return
One thing we ask of every partner: a link back to soapx.co.uk from wherever you are online. The rest depends on the level you pick, and we agree it with you by email before the sponsorship starts.
- A link to soapx.co.uk from every place you have online: your website, club or event page, link page, video descriptions and social profiles. Where the links go.
- SoapX stickers on your car, bike or event stand, placed where they can be seen.
- Rating cards at meets. If you go to car meets, take our rating cards with you and leave them on the cars that earn one. How the cards work.
- Tagged posts that show SoapX to your followers.
- Photos and video we can reuse on our website, social channels, emails and adverts. We always credit you.
- Honest feedback. Tell us what works and what does not. We never ask for scripted praise.
Sharing SoapX with your followers
The best partnerships are the ones where SoapX shows up naturally in what you already post. A good first post is the bucket check: both buckets, ready to go, tagged #SoapXLab. After that, how often you post is up to you, and it sets your level. See what you get for what you do. We settle on what suits you before we start.
Tagged posts: what counts
| What | What we expect |
|---|---|
| Where | Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or X. Posts, reels, videos and Shorts count. Stories are a welcome extra but do not count, as they disappear. |
| Tag | @soapx_uk and #SoapXLab. On YouTube, name SoapX in the title or description and link to soapx.co.uk in the description. |
| In shot | A SoapX product or sticker, clearly visible. |
| Label | "Ad" or "Advert" at the start of the post, as UK advertising rules require. |
| Stays live | The post is not deleted or archived while the sponsorship runs, and for at least 3 months after it ends. |
A link back to SoapX
A link to soapx.co.uk is the most useful thing a partner can do for us, so we ask every partner for one. If you have a website, a club page, an event page or a social profile, we would like to be linked from it. It helps people who see your car, bike or event find the products you use. We link to you from the sponsor bar on our homepage in the same way.
| Where | What works well |
|---|---|
| Your website or club site | SoapX on your sponsors or partners page, with our name or logo linked to soapx.co.uk. We send you our logo and a short line about us. |
| Social profiles | soapx.co.uk in the website or links box of your Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook profiles, and on your link page, next to your follower code if you have one. |
| YouTube | A link to soapx.co.uk in your channel links and in the description of any video that features our products. |
| Event pages | SoapX listed with a link on the event page, entry list or programme for the meets, shows and track days we support. |
| Anywhere else | Build threads, club forum profiles, newsletters and anything else that takes a link. If your name is on it, we would like to be on it too. |
No website? Your social profiles and link page do the job. Show every link as what it is, a sponsor or partner link, and if your website has a setting to mark a link as sponsored, please use it. We send you our logo, a short line about us and the exact address to use, so it takes a couple of minutes. The logo and badge are under brand materials.
Rating cards at meets
Going to a meet? Take our rating cards. They are the size of a business card, they tuck under a wiper, and each one has a code on the back for the owner to scan. We send a pack with your stickers and top it up when you run low. Bring a pen. The cards are pictured under brand materials.
| Card | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Nice motor | On anything that made you look twice. "10/10. Would stare again." |
| Judges' card | On the cleanest cars at the meet. Score shine, wheels, stance, sound and the look, out of 25. |
| Dirt rating | On the ones that need a bit of love. A filth score out of 25, from showroom to crime scene. |
| Too clean ticket | Under a wiper, for the double take. "Not a real ticket. Breathe." |
| Forecast | On anyone's car. "Outlook: sunny. Always." |
| Horoscope | Hand these out. People collect them. |
Three rules for the cards.
- Under the wiper only. Nothing gets stuck to paint or glass, and nobody leans on a car.
- Read the room. The dirt rating is for owners who will laugh. Respect every build.
- If the organiser says no flyers, the cards stay in your pocket. Pick up any that end up on the floor.
A filled in card on a car is also one of the easiest posts you can make.
Photos and video
These are the kinds of content we are looking for. Send us the original files by email where you can.
| Type | What we are looking for |
|---|---|
| Products in use | Foam on the car, wheels being cleaned, the drying towel at work. Real washes, not staged shots. |
| The bucket check | Both buckets in shot before the wash starts. It is the Gang sign. |
| Before and after | The same panel, wheel or interior from the same angle, before and after. |
| Stickers on show | Your car, bike or stand with SoapX stickers visible at meets, shows and track days. |
| Out in the wild | Your car, motorcycle or bicycle out doing what it does, with our stickers on. Long trips, everyday riding, mountain roads and muddy trails. It does not need to be clean. Crime scenes are welcome. |
| Short vertical video | Clips of 10 to 30 seconds, filmed upright, for reels, TikTok and Shorts. |
Please send content without watermarks, heavy filters or added music, so that we are able to reuse it.
Post ideas
You know your followers better than we do, so post in your own voice. Brand materials
This is the kit that comes with the Gang: the logo and badge for your website and link page, the stickers and bucket decals, the cards for meets and events, and the Paddock range you wear to the meet. Tap a logo, sticker or product to open it.
Link the logo or the badge to soapx.co.uk. The code to paste for the badge is on our trade page. Need a picture file for a social profile? Ask and we send one.
Use them as they are. Please do not recolour, stretch or redraw them, and keep some clear space around the logo.
The Two Bucket Gang sticker is 75 mm across. The WASH and RINSE decals are 90 by 240 mm, one for each bucket, and they make the bucket check hard to miss.
The meet cards are the size of a business card and go under a wiper. How the cards work. The award cards have a line for the winner's name.
Paddock clothing goes to weekly partners once their trial is done. Any other partner can ask for it free, and we say yes when we are happy with their progress. Everyone else can pick it up in the Paddock range.
How long it lasts
- One off or per event. Support for a single event, meet or fundraiser, prizes included.
- 3 month trial. How most partnerships start. Rewards are sent pro forma. We review it together at the end.
- Full season. 12 months, offered to partners after a successful trial. Rewards are sent pro rata.
Sponsorship terms
- Agreement. A sponsorship starts only when we confirm it by email, setting out what you receive, what we ask in return and how long it runs. Sending an application does not create a sponsorship.
- No cash value. Products, clothing and codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and must not be resold. Personal discount codes are for your own orders only.
- Paddock clothing on request. Any partner, at any level, can ask us for free Paddock clothing. It is not automatic. Email hello@soapx.co.uk to ask, and we say yes when we are happy with the progress you have made: your links, stickers, posts and feedback so far. The decision is ours, and a no is not a never. Ask again when you have more to show. Clothing is printed to order and comes from the range available at the time.
- Financial support. Where we agree to give money, the amount and what it is for are confirmed in writing. It must be used only for that purpose, and we may ask for confirmation of how it was spent.
- Follower codes. Codes for your followers are for genuine customers. They must not be posted on voucher or deal websites, and we may change or withdraw a code at any time.
- Clear labelling. UK advertising rules require sponsored content to be obvious. Any post that features products or benefits you received from us must be clearly labelled as advertising, for example with "Ad" or "Advert" at the start of the post. A link to our site from your own website should be shown as a sponsor or partner link.
- Honest opinions. Anything you say about our products must be your genuine opinion and must be accurate. Please do not make claims about what a product does beyond what is on its label or product page.
- Your content. You keep ownership of your photos and videos. By tagging us or sending content to us during the sponsorship, you give SoapX permission to use, crop and share it on our website, social channels, emails and adverts, free of charge, during the sponsorship and afterwards for content already shared. Tell us if you want something taken down and we will remove it where we reasonably can. You confirm that the content is yours and that anyone who can be identified in it is happy for it to be used.
- Safe and legal. We do not sponsor or endorse illegal or dangerous driving or riding on public roads, or antisocial behaviour at meets. Motorsport and track activity must take place at properly organised events. Use our products as directed on the label and safety data sheet. Gary and Ken are a joke, not a target: wild birds are protected by law, and nobody harms, traps or disturbs one for content.
- Your own risk. You take part in motorsport, events and other activities at your own risk and remain responsible for your own vehicle, insurance, licences and entry fees. SoapX is not responsible for loss, damage or injury arising from your activities, except where the law does not allow us to exclude it.
- Independence. Partners are not employees or agents of SoapX and cannot make commitments on our behalf. You are responsible for any tax due on products or benefits you receive.
- Other sponsors. Sponsorship is not exclusive, but please tell us if you work with another car care brand so we can agree what works for both sides.
- Ending a sponsorship. Either side can end a sponsorship at any time by email. We may end it straight away if these terms are not followed or if a partner's conduct could damage our reputation. Rewards follow activity. During a trial, products are sent pro forma, which means in advance. After a trial, they are sent pro rata, which means in proportion to the posts we have confirmed for that month. We may pause parcels, clothing and codes while the agreed posts or links are not in place. When a sponsorship ends, unused benefits and codes stop, and we ask you to stop describing yourself as sponsored by SoapX and to remove our stickers within 30 days. Posts made during the sponsorship stay up for at least 3 months after it ends.
- Charity requests. We consider charity and community requests case by case, and usually support them with products or prizes. In exceptional circumstances we may also make a financial contribution. Please include the charity name and registered number, or details of the cause.
- Your information. We use the details you send us only to consider your application and manage the sponsorship, in line with our privacy policy.
- Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page applies to new sponsorships. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
How to apply
Email hello@soapx.co.uk with the subject "Sponsorship application" and tell us:
- Who you are and what you drive, ride, run or create
- Links to everywhere you are online: your website, club or event page and social profiles
- Where in the UK you are based
- The events, meets or content you have planned
- What kind of support you are looking for, and the level that suits you
- For an event: the date, and the places or classes you would like prizes for
- Your bucket check, if you have one. A photo of both buckets tells us a lot.
We read every application and aim to reply within 5 working days. Spots are limited, so we cannot say yes to everyone.
