Who writes the SoapX Journal
The SoapX Journal is written in house by the SoapX team. Our writers publish under pen names, Ollie B and Sam W, and every guide carries the name of the writer responsible for it.
Ollie B - SoapX Ltd.
Journal writer. Ollie writes about the wash itself: the two bucket method, snow foam and pre wash, car shampoo, drying, washing in winter, water spots, and looking after matt paint, wraps and ceramic coatings.
- The two bucket method: how to wash your car without swirl marks
- Snow foam explained: how to use a foam cannon properly
- How to wash a matt paint or wrapped car safely
Sam W - SoapX Ltd.
Journal writer. Sam writes about wheels and decontamination, polishing and protection, interiors, motorbikes and bicycles, chain care, the free detailing checklists and running a detailing business.
- How to clean alloy wheels without scratching them
- How to remove iron fallout and tar spots from car paint
- Motorbike and bicycle chain cleaning: a simple routine
How we write
- Dilution ratios, doses and costs come from our live product data, so every guide shows the current figure.
- Figures about other makers' products are copied from their own documents and linked, as in our car shampoo pH database.
- We do not publish pH numbers for our own products until they are on the safety data sheets.
- Nobody pays to appear in a guide.
