Is SoapX snow foam safe on ceramic coatings, wraps and PPF?
Use the Delicate (D) formula. It is the gentle foam, made for matt wraps and ceramic coatings.
- Coatings: foam that softens and lifts road film lets the coating bead and sheet properly again. That is unmasking, not damage.
- Stronger formulas: check what your film or coating maker allows before using Summer, Winter or Extreme on a protected finish.

- Never let any foam dry on the paint. In sun or wind, rinse sooner.

Snow foam, pre rinse or shampoo: what each step does
Snow foam is a pre wash. It takes loose dirt off without touching the paint, so the contact wash that follows is safer.
- Pre rinse (No.01): sprayed from a pump sprayer onto the dirtiest areas first, to soften bugs and road film.
- Snow foam (No.02): covers the whole car through a foam cannon, dwells, and rinses away the loose grit that causes swirls.
- Contact shampoo (No.05): removes the film still bonded to the paint, with a mitt and two buckets. Snow foam does not replace it.

- Summer (S) Snow foam. Thick, clinging everyday snow foam. Scent: Blue raspberry ice. Concentrate 1:15, 5L or 1L.
- Winter (W) Winter snow foam. Our winter favourite for salt season, October to March. Scent: Menthol and berry. Concentrate 1:15, 5L or 1L.
- Extreme (X) Extreme snow foam. Heavy duty foam for heavy soiling with a shorter dwell. Scent: Sour apple. Concentrate 1:10, 5L or 1L.
- Delicate (D) Delicate snow foam. Gentle foam that is safe on matt wraps and ceramic coatings. Scent: Vanilla. Concentrate 1:15, 5L or 1L.

How to use
Dilute as shown for your formula in a foam cannon bottle. Foam the car from the bottom up, leave to dwell for 3 to 5 minutes without drying, then rinse from the top down.
- Work in the shade on cool panels. If the car is very dirty, spray No.01 Pre Rinse and Bug Remover over the lower panels and front end first.
- Put water in the cannon bottle first, then the foam. Summer, Winter and Delicate take about 65 ml topped up to 1 litre. Extreme takes about 90 ml. Warm water helps it mix.
- Click the cannon onto your pressure washer and turn the top dial towards maximum for thicker foam.
- Cover the car from the bottom up with a wide fan, so the dirtiest panels get the longest dwell.
- Leave it for 3 to 5 minutes. Give Extreme a shorter dwell. In sun or wind, rinse sooner. Never let foam dry on the paint.
- Rinse from the top down, then move on to the contact wash with No.05 Contact Shampoo.
- Run clean water through the cannon afterwards so nothing dries in the nozzle.

Common questions
Do I need a pressure washer to use snow foam?
Yes. A foam cannon needs a pressure washer to make foam. Our Snow Foam Cannon comes in fittings for Kärcher K series, Nilfisk, Bosch AQT and universal 1/4 inch. Without a pressure washer, use the pre rinse in a pump sprayer.
How much snow foam goes in a 1 litre foam cannon?
About 65 ml for Summer, Winter and Delicate, which is 1:15. About 90 ml for Extreme, which is 1:10. Top up to the 1 litre line with water.
How many washes are in a bottle?
At 1:15, a 1 litre bottle makes 16 foam cannon bottles and a 5 litre container makes 80. The 250ml sample makes 4. Extreme at 1:10 makes 11 and 55.
How long should snow foam dwell?
3 to 5 minutes, and less for Extreme. It needs time to soften the dirt, but it must never dry on the paint.
Does snow foam replace shampoo?
No. Snow foam is a pre wash. It removes loose dirt without touching the car, so the contact wash that follows is safer for the paint. The film bonded to the paint still needs a mitt and shampoo.
